Workshop for light design PDF Print E-mail

NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION «PIERROT» and State Puppet Theatre – Stara Zagora announce a call for participants in International WORKSHOP for light designers: LIGHT AS A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION

Lecturers: Tomáš Morávek (Czech Republic), Katarína Ďuricová (Slovakia)
Date: 24th – 27st of September 2015workshop

The Workshop is a process. It will design a space where people with mutual interests or focus of work will meet. It creates a possibility to get inspired one from each other.

The light has inspired humanity from ancient times. It appears in the religion and it‘s a source and symbol of life. We consider it as a natural part of our common days and nights. Its so routine…. But can we observe light? Can we think or talk about it? Can we transfer it into the theatre, on the stage?

In four days we’ll try to be intensively focused on the LIGHT phenomena /its unique features/.
Using simple practical and theoretical exercises we‘ll explaine how to work with and who to think about light.

Day 1: Light as an artistic tool – its perception and impact on us.
Day 2: Light sources – types of sources.
Day 3: Engle of the light, reflection of the light
Day 4: Color of the light, color „temperature“ (How to work with colors, their meaning and how to use them on the stage.)
