State Puppet Theatre Stara Zagora has 48 years
history. More than 250 performances by Bulgarian and
foreign authors, writing for children, have been
produced. State Puppet Theatre is a repertoire
theatre with state financing.
State Puppet Theatre Stara Zagora have its own
building, stages (open-air and covered stages) and
atelier. The Theatre is leader between the puppet
theatres, with his artistic and financial results. The awards, which it received in the last years, are
measure for the high professional level of the
artistic staff. The Theatre had been on a tour in
Russia, Yugoslavia, Poland, The Czech Republic,
Algeria, Iran, Iraq, Tunisia, Spain, Germany,
France, Cyprus, Austria. He is the organizer of
International Puppet Theatre for Adults Festival
“PIERROT”.
State
Puppet Theatre - Stara Zagora is opened in 1957. Its first
headmaster was Petar Dobchev, Peter Aleksandrov - a
director, Kosta Valkov and Denka Dimova - actors.
For
the passed 45 years were shown more than 250 plays by
Bulgarian and foreign authors, visited by 3 million people.
Here were shown for the first time plays by Nikolay Haitov,
Valery Petrov, Rada Moskova and many others. Hundreds of
actors played on the stage of Stara Zagora Puppet House. A
lot of foreign and Bulgarian groups have played here and
spread out the glory of our town in many countries all over
the world.
It
is a state theatre. There are 16 plays in the theatre list
for 2001, that guarantee arrangemens for every actor and
atrraction for the audience in Stara Zagora, in the country
and abroad. |
